How to import test cases to TestCaseLab

Step by step explanation of moving from spreadsheets 

Exсel-tables can still be valuable for small QA teams or QA freelance specialists. However, clients are likely to deal with the companies which deliver products as quickly as possible. Test case management systems are assisting tools on the way of speeding up the QA process as well as enhancing its efficiency.

First of all, you need to be registered on TestCaseLab. If you haven’t done it yet — click here and get your 30-days free trial. If you are already registered, go to your account dashboard.

1. Choose the project in which you want to import your test cases.
2. Click on «Settings» at the header.
3. Select «Import» on the left menu.

4. Download the sample CSV file on the page or here. The CSV sample contains such columns: (test case) title, description, steps, expected results, priority (high, normal, low), execution, category, tags.

That is how these fields will be reflected in TestCaseLab. Categories and tags are parameters that help you group your test cases.

5. Fill the CSV sample with your test cases and all of the information you want to track while using TestCaseLab.

6. Save the filled file and upload it to the TestCaseLab by clicking on the button
