✌️TestCaseLab updates – January 2020

Hi there!

14875 test cases were created in TestCaseLab in January.

Our users are constantly sharing their feedback with us. And we are glad to include your suggestions in our feature development plans to make TCL even better.
It’s amazing to see.

In the spirit of gratitude and reflection, I’d love to share our newsletter with you.
Below, I’ll recap all of the new features that you can use to keep testing your projects. We’re excited to watch you do it!

➡️A new design of the Test Run page!
Our development team worked hard to make the test runs page look better than ever.
We’ve redesigned it and added a “pie chart” view for better visualization.
Try it out and let us know what you think!
We will share more redesign news in the next updates.

Open Test Runs and then click on a grid view (№2). Almost all the elements on the dashboard are clickable.

➡️New process of generating the API Token.
We’ve updated the API token generation.
Right now you can easily generate it in your profile settings.

➡️We’ve added the ability to manage project’s tags
Tags are really useful things and can be used in different cases. One of them is just marking the test cases that belong to some functionality and easily filter them by tag name between hundreds of test cases. And now you can easily manage all your tags from one page!

Here are some tips on how to do it:

Click the name of the tag to rename it. Save it and a new name will be applied to all the tags that have been used in the test cases.

By clicking the ‘Remove’ icon you can easily remove this tag from all the test cases where it was used.

Click the counter of the tag and you’ll see all filtered test cases by this tag.

📻 Stay tuned for the next features. Here’s what you can expect from us in February:
– More and more UI enhancements.
– Feature: Dashboard: Project list.  Adding additional filters.
– Feature: Create Demo Company that will be set when users click “Demo Project”.
– Feature: Enlarge the number of child suites to 7.
– Bug Fix: Test Case Steps weren’t recovered from the dashboard after clicking the ‘Undo’ button in the Activity Stream.
